SebastiAn - Total

This monster producer out of the famous Ed Banger crew released a new album, "Total" Monday, and I'm going to share a few new tracks with you! I haven't gotten my hands on a full copy yet (can't wait to hear it beginning to end), but from what I've heard so far... sounds like some classic SebastiAn greatness! You'll find plenty of his usual cut up synth lines and choppy bass plucks that are just perfectly placed for gettin crazy on the dancefloor, or just fueling your bedroom rockouts. Whatever you're into!

A few of my faves so far:

I know I posted this awhile back... but its a great song, sooo if you missed it the first time around, you know I'm serious cause I posted it twice!

Sounds of Summer

Since I juuuuust got back into my blogger account now (still don't know what the problem was), I'll be posting up Big Fat Friday on Friday, and give you some sounds of Summer while this weather is heating up! These tracks are all over the map genre-wise, but they all happen to sound great on a day like today!

Killabits and Zeds Dead - Together at last!

I just haaaad to post this one fresh tasty track up here since these guys have played such a huge part in building up Toronto's dubstep scene. I've been waiting for this duo of duos to get some collab work going... well worth the wait, I'm sure this will be destroying dance floors for some time!

"Killa Killa..ZEDS DEAAAD!" wommmmmmmm

Big Fat... Monday?

*This has been reposted with ALL downloads removed, since I have been told a posted song violates copyright laws, and I don't get told which one it is.

I've been slacking on the Big Fat Fridays posts recently so heres a couple big bangin' tunes to make up for it. Here we go, starting with the dubstep... haha, since the entire genre is built around big fat bass, I've got quite the selection for these posts so I have no excuses, big fat friday will be back!

Like most 8 and a half minute songs, you'll need some patience for this last track. Trust me, the build ups are sooo necessary! You'll understand when it drops.

Turn Up. Tune Out. - Episode 5

I've gotten a little frustrated lately, as another one of my posts got taken down (feature on the soundtrack of Misfits) with little to no explanation of which tracks were complained about. Filesharing is the future and everyone knows that... copyright is bullshit these days, people will share your music regardless of whether its online or not. gahhhh!

Anyways... heres episode 5, I included a Kleerup/Lykke Li collab I found on the Misfits soundtrack as well as my own remix of Warpaint's "Stars". If you enjoy those two, check out the rest of the soundtrack, its easy enough to find! Also in this episode, Daft Punk's classic "Something About You" and Datassette's tight remix of "Happy Up Here" are keepin it funky, while M1 and Ulrich Schnauss take their best shots at hypnotizing you through your ears...

Turn that up!

Tracklist (Click for downloads):
Ulrich Schnauss - Gone Forever
Warpaint - Stars (StatiK Remix)
Daft Punk - Something About Us
Royksopp - Happy Up Here (Datassette Remix)
M1 - Wake Up
Kleerup ft. Lykke Li - Until We Bleed

Serious Soundtracks - Misfits

*This has been reposted with ALL downloads removed, since I have been told a posted song violates copyright laws, and I don't get told which one it is.

I recently blew through both seasons of this show in a matter of days. Not only was the story itself captivating, but I found myself searching for a buuuunch of songs I had heard while watching. If you get a chance, definitely check out the first two seasons of Misfits. Tunes like this plus a storyline involving drugs, partying, murders, and superpowers... whats not to like?

New Emissions of Light and Sound

Today I bring you a Globe surf video. Yes you heard me... a surf video.

New Emissions of Light and Sound caught my attention a couple years back after I discovered the soundtrack was produced by none other than world renowned DJ Sasha. This isn't his usual realm of work, but let me tell you, the soundtrack starts to steal your focus with ease as the film progresses. Not only is this video easy on the eyes, but the audio complements the amazing footage like no other production I have seen.

The video comes with the recommendation that you watch between the hours of 3 and 5 am, and if you're a night owl like me, you should do your best to follow that advice. If you give this your full attention, it will suck you right in. I'm sure Globe wanted you to smoke a fairly large J before watching also, but I figure that might look a little unprofessional on a DVD case.

Embedding was giving me trouble and wouldn't appear properly on the page, but heres a link to the full vid:

Here are a couple of the best segments of the sound track in my opinion, but it is definitely worth your time to hear the whole thing. I took these out of the full mix myself, so you won't find these as individual tracks anywhere else!

Turn Up. Tune Out. - Episode 4

Turn up, Tune out has returned! This episode starts off with a couple remixes of well known artists Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins mashed in with a Cassius track (yeah I used it 2 days in a row)... served up with a little Deadmau5, one of my favorite underrated producers in Gui Boratto, and two classic Trentemoller tracks. Fun fact... I didn't realize I was mixing 1979 with 1981 haha, total coincidence. I'll call it 1980 to be fair.

So how about you take 15 mins of your day and get lost in some great music! or download for later of course!

Sounds of Summer

Lookin for fresh summer tunes? How about some upbeat funky electro rock? Cassius!

Cassius - Feeling For You.mp3

And after having his laptops (containing all his recent work) stolen... Skrillex pulls through with another big new track! Disco Rangers!
